Our light-medium roasted coffee with sweet citrus characteristics, sourced and roasted specifically for liver care, metabolic vitality and the highest level of antioxidant activity. PROTECT contains more CGA than any of our coffees.

Purity Coffee contains only high quality Arabica coffee with no additives or allergens.

Brewing recommendations:

This is a medium-fine grind, best suited for brewing with an electric drip machine, manual pour-over, Aeropress, or Clever Dripper.

Use filtered water and clean brewing equipment. Try 4 Tbsp (20g) per 12-oz mug to start, and adjust to taste. Check your water temperature is between 195F and 205F. Once this bag is opened, try to keep air out and consume within 10 days for optimum aromatics.

One 12 oz bag = about 25-30 8 oz cups of coffee
One 5 lb bag = 180 8 oz cups of brewed coffee

Does not taste like coffee

I don't usually leave reviews but I have to say that this does not taste like coffee. It's very weak and tasteless IMO. I read good reviews so I'm hoping there is a market for you but I won't be reordering.

Thank you for deciding to give Purity Coffee a try, and for sharing your honest feedback. Sorry to hear you have not had an enjoyable experience brewing the PROTECT Light/Medium Roast Coffee so far.

If you do not mind sharing, what is it about the flavor you do not like? What type of coffee is it that you usually enjoy? At Purity Coffee we do not roast too light or too dark, as we base our roast profiles on the health benefits and research of the compounds in the coffee. We roast to maintain the antioxidants while minimizing or eliminating any of the negative aspects that can occur during the roasting process.

I am more than happy to discuss grinding and brewing techniques with you to see if we can work together to get a great tasting brew result you enjoy. We recommend using a burr grinder and two tablespoons of ground coffee for every 8oz of water used to brew. If the flavor is tastng weak or sour, try adjusting the grind slightly finer. If the flavor is too bold or bitter, adjust the grind slightly coarser. A minor grind adjustment will have a huge impact on the end resulting brew.

If after making adjustments you are still unable to get a great flavor you enjoy, let me know and I can assist you with a return for a refund minus the original shipping fees. If you feel you might enjoy something bolder, I'm happy to assist you with an exchange for a different roast instead.

Best and with a surprise

I bought Purity coffee because of well...it's purity. I am going thru a gut detox program and eliminating everything from my past diet that might have contributed hence starting with a purer coffee, no toxins. But a lovely surprise that I've noticed is that in the past just plain black coffee would sometimes spike my glucose...periodically I wear a glucose monitor so I would know and this coffee does not! My glucose stays in perfect range. And it's delicious just black. What a great find :)

Tastes smooth

I brew it with my aero press. I have to say it’s pretty good. I’m pretty picky about my coffee beans. I like my beans to be freshly roasted (has to be within a week), and although it’s not the absolute best coffee I’ve had, it does the trick. I was recently tested for mold in my body and it turns out there’s a very large amount, so drinking coffee that has been tested for mold helps me rest easy while I go through my anti mold treatment. Ive tried one other mold tested coffee and this one was MUCH better.
