This Gesha coffee hails from the Santander region of Colombia, specifically grown on Finca Santa Maria which is part of the innovative, regenerative farming coalition, Hacienda Cafetera La Pradera.
At Finca Santa Maria, the coffee is cultivated by a remarkable team of 22 women, all of whom are heads of household. Their mission extends beyond producing exceptional coffee; it is about positively impacting their community and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature. This commitment is validated by their certifications as an organic farm, Rainforest Alliance, Smithsonian Bird Friendly®, and recipients of the Con Manos de Mujer seal, a testament to the dedication and hard work of these remarkable women.

Cultivating Gesha coffee plants requires the utmost care and attention at every stage of production. From hand-harvesting only the ripest fruits to carefully extracting and drying the coffee seeds, every step is executed with precision. The beans are dried using the honey processing method, which imparts an intriguing resemblance to honey in appearance, texture, and aroma. This unique process further enhances the coffee’s complexity, ensuring a truly exceptional cup.

Brewing recommendations:
Use clean, fresh, chemical-free water with some mineral content. Grind coffee fresh to match your brewing method. Use water around 200 degrees F (93 degrees C). Keep brewing equipment clean. Store coffee beans in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture.
