How we roast it for espresso

At Purity Coffee, every decision is based on health first. Our specialty grade organic beans are sourced from regenerative farms, and this espresso is roasted to a slightly darker profile, which develops the heavier-weight melanoidins that come with additional roast development and converts a portion of the CGA into chlorogenic acid lactones (CGL). Every profile in our line is roasted with the same measured approach, from soil to cup.

Brewing recommendations:

We recommend a manual or semi-automatic espresso machine, though a Moka pot or AeroPress will work just as well for a concentrated cup.

• Dose 18-20 g of finely ground coffee into your portafilter and extract 36-40 g of espresso (about a 1:2 ratio)
• Aim for a 25-30 second extraction with water between 200 and 203°F, adjusting your grind size to dial in the balance of sweetness, body, and complexity that suits your taste
• One 12 oz bag = about 17-19 double shots
