Purity Coffee is officially a Public Benefit Corporation

Purity Coffee's commitment to health, sustainability, and transparency has guided everything we do. From sourcing only the highest-quality organic coffee beans to rigorous testing for contaminants, our priority has always been to improve the health of our customers and the environment. We are thrilled to announce that Purity Coffee is now a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC).

This change marks a significant milestone in our journey because it aligns our business structure with the values we have held since the beginning. Being a PBC shows that Purity Coffee is serious about balancing purpose with profit. This protects our mission to promote health, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility while we continue to grow.

What is a Public Benefit Corporation?

A Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) is a legal structure that enables businesses to combine profit and purpose. Unlike traditional corporations, which focus solely on increasing shareholder value, a PBC incorporates a "blended focus" into their operations. This means that, while shareholder value is still important, Purity is also committed to making a positive impact on society, the environment, and other stakeholders.

The state of Delaware, where Purity Coffee is incorporated, was among the first to adopt and safeguard public benefit corporations in 2013. Delaware is known for leading corporate governance practices, and their PBC legislation is designed to allow companies like ours to prioritize social and environmental goals without compromising financial returns. This structure is particularly vital as we navigate growth and new opportunities, ensuring that our mission remains intact even as leadership evolves or as we attract new investors.

Why Purity Coffee Pursued PBC Status

1. Staying True to Our Mission

Purity Coffee’s mission has always been rooted in health and sustainability. By becoming a PBC, we have legally embedded this mission into the DNA of our company. This structure keeps us from being forced to prioritize profits over purpose, ensuring that our commitment to health-conscious practices remains intact regardless of future changes.

Our dedication to these values is reflected in every aspect of our business, starting with regeneratively-farmed certified organic coffee that is lab tested for mold, toxins, contaminants, as well as beneficial nutrients and bioactive compounds.. This high standard for health and sustainability has earned us recognition, distinguishing us in an industry where quality and transparency are frequently overlooked. Becoming a PBC is a natural extension of our existing practices, providing a legal framework that will protect our mission for years to come

2. Attracting Conscious Investors and Customers

The world is moving toward more conscious consumerism and investing in a more sustainable future. More people want to support businesses that share their values, and becoming a PBC allows us to clearly demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility. This move enables us to attract like-minded investors and customers who share our vision of a healthier world.Investment funds focusing on social and environmental impact are rapidly expanding, and many prioritize companies with a PBC structure. Purity Coffee's transition positions the company to appeal to investors seeking more than just financial returns—they want to contribute to a company making a meaningful difference. Furthermore, customers who care about the ethics of the products they buy can rest assured that Purity Coffee's mission is legally protected and prioritized.

3. Long-Term Mission Protection Through Growth

As Purity Coffee grows, upholding our core values becomes increasingly important. Converting to a PBC serves as an insurance against potential market pressures or investor pressures that could otherwise undermine our principles. By incorporating our mission into our legal structure, we ensure that our company remains committed to making a positive impact as we grow and evolve.

This legal protection is especially important as we expand and pursue new opportunities. The PBC structure makes sure our goal of promoting health, sustainability, and social responsibility does not change—not even in the face of major growth or changes in leadership.

The Path Forward

Purity Coffee's transition to a Public Benefit Corporation is a natural next step as we pioneer health-conscious, sustainable coffee production. As we move forward, we are deeply grateful to our customers, employees, and investors for their continued support of our mission. Together we are demonstrating that it is possible to build a profitable business that prioritizes people and the environment.

With this new chapter, we maintain our unwavering commitment to transparency, integrity, and quality in every coffee we produce. Thank you for joining us on this journey; we are excited about what the future holds and the impact we can make together.

I’m glad that Purity Coffee is overall committed to the benefits its products bring to its customers, first and foremost. As someone who had previously shied away from coffee due to pesticides and molds, and the “off” feeling to my health those products induced, I’ve been so happy with this product, and literally look forward to my mornings because I actually feel good after drinking Purity coffee, not jittery or foggy headed. Please, never change, except for changes like this that only help you continue to bring quality products to a market over-saturated with poor and low quality offerings. Wishing Purity Coffee many more years of success!
