People who want their morning coffee but don’t have time to grind whole beans can now rejoice in these convenient pods!

These aren’t your average pods. Regular brands include 10-12 grams of coffee per pod, which can lead to a watery, under-extracted flavor that leaves true coffee-lovers disappointed. Purity’s coffee pods include 30% more coffee per pod, for an enhanced richer, well-balanced flavor. More coffee per pod also allows for maximum extraction of chlorogenic acids (CGAs).

With years of research and development going in to our unique process, we’re able to produce a coffee roasted to retain its chlorogenic acids, which we verify by lab analysis. Our roasters have perfected a protocol where beans are roasted to the sweet spot that eliminates as much acrylamide as possible while preventing the development of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), both of which are known carcinogens. That small window is also where CGAs are the most plentiful, and you can get the greatest health benefits out of your cup of coffee.

Beans are not left on the tree too long or piled up after picking, which are conditions that favor mold and mycotoxins such as ochratoxin A. We screen green coffee lots for ochratoxin A and aflatoxins before purchase and periodically test roasted products at independent labs. Results are posted on our lab-tests page.

The pods are BPA free. Coffee pods are compatible with Keurig K-Cup®, Keurig K-Cup® 2.0 and equivalent single serve brewers. (Sorry, pods are not designed for the Keurig® VUE™ or RIVO™ brewing systems.) The pod cup is #5 polypropylene; check whether your local recycling program accepts it, and separate the lid, filter and grounds first.

Whole bean Purity Coffee comes in bags flushed with nitrogen, and the pods are no different. Each coffee pod is flushed with nitrogen as well, so it’s as fresh as the day it was roasted. Some may view coffee pods as commodities that can be left in warehouses for months before shipping off to your local store, but we at Purity Coffee take freshness much more seriously.
