Grown beneath a thick biodiverse canopy of native and fruit trees near Colombia’s Chicamocha Canyon, Finca Santa Maria epitomizes environmental stewardship. Activated biochar enriches the soil with healthy microorganisms, which result in complex nutrients and flavors in the coffee. Post-harvest processing is handled with precision using state-of-the-art equipment, including an eco-washer, optical sorter, wire mesh drying deck for excellent air circulation, along with both solar and mechanical dryers.
This farm holds earned the Con Manos de Mujer seal, recognizing their leadership in environmental preservation, ethical labor, and women’s empowerment.
Truly Healthy Decaf
Unlike typical decafs, this superior quality coffee is sent fresh from the farm to MountainWater, where it is naturally decaffeinated, free of chemicals, using only water, time and carbon filters to preserve the coffee’s natural flavors and antioxidant content.
Women-Owned and Operated
The coffee is cultivated by a remarkable team of 22 women, all of whom are heads of household. Their mission extends beyond producing exceptional coffee; it is about positively impacting their community and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature. Every decision on the farm is made collectively, with the future of their families and ecosystems in mind.

Deep flavor, no buzz
This coffee is so delicious! Had my first cups black to really taste it, and it didn’t need my usual maple syrup and cream anyway. The taste is deep, but not heavy, and I tried to pick out the notes before going back to read the description - nutty and chocolatey were what I landed on, and that is exactly what this coffee is.
